Strive is a movement. It’s a movement of people taking action for change. People who want to challenge themselves, connect with a values-aligned network and create a better future for young people by supporting Big Change.
Strive is part of our DNA, with our founders launching Big Change after running the 2010 London Marathon tied together as a giant caterpillar with 34 friends!
Every pound raised from these events goes directly to supporting our projects. These, in turn, are helping ensure that all young people are set up to thrive.
The Strive philosophy: growth happens when you step outside of your comfort zone; magic happens when you do it alongside others.
The Strive story
Nearly 1,000 amazing participants have joined us so far, raising more than £5m for Big Change.
The first official Strive Challenge event took place in 2014. This saw a core team of 12 travel from London to the summit of the Matterhorn, entirely under human power.
See where we’ve been and what we’ve achieved so far:

I Strive
Striving isn’t reserved for our official Strive events – you can step outside your comfort zone by joining a public event on behalf of Big Change or creating your own challenge. This could be anything from a 5k run or sports day to an open mic night with your friends and family. Whatever you choose, we’ll support you throughout by providing event advice, fundraising help and useful connections.
Our Toolkit has everything you need to start striving for Big Change. But you’ll need to confirm you agree to Strive’s terms and conditions.
