Fundraising for STRIVE 2015
25 June 2015: posted by BigChange
With this year’s STRIVE Challenge just around the corner, we are getting pretty excited here in the office. We’re busy tying together lose ends and doing some ‘light’ training (taking the stairs rather than the lift to the canteen, etc).
We are absolutely thrilled with the progress that the STRIVE Challenge 2015 team has made so far. We have raised over £10,000 – but we’re not going to stop there!
We wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate some of our most successful fundraisers so far. Huge thanks and big ups to:
Jojo Cox & Jig Fildes Heap – £1,845.00
Niki Barbery Bleyleben – £1305.00
Alex Petsch – £1,301.11
Steve and Hannah’s Big Change Bash:
Our friends Steve and Hannah from The Key went above and beyond this weekend and held a festival fundraiser for Big Change in North Umberland.
Highlights included live music from a local band, a photo booth and selfie competition, and of course an egg-jarping tournament – because what is a festival without egg-jarping?!
Well done Steve and Hannah!

Fundraising tips from Big Change:
It’s getting into crunch time, so don’t forget to keep fundraising! We got in touch with our top fundraisers to find out their tips and tricks.
1. Make your fundraising page unique! Explain your mission and why you’re passionate about this cause.
2. Ask friends and family to donate. They will likely be the most willing to support you, and later donors might be inclined to match their generosity!
3. Hold a fundraiser of some sort – a dinner, a party, maybe even a bake sale. This is a great way to incentivise donations and get your friends and family out for a good time.
4. Share your page on Facebook and Twitter! Don’t be afraid to ask your friends and family to share as well.
